Pink Sofa requires profile photos an face shots. While some don't like that, really, it's why you're on a dating site, right? The review every photo and profile. I've not once been approached by a man or a bogus account.

I LOVE Chit-Chat. It's live chat, and you can filter it to talk with everyone or women in your country, etc. Really nice feature. The forum is a terrific tool. Best: the profiles of other women. Again, Pink Sofa makes sure the profiles are well filled out.

Some don't like the oversight/supervision, but really, it provides not only a quality experience, but you know there are admins making sure that men aren't on the site and there are not scammers.

They've been around forever, and an out lesbian owns and runs the site. I really like this. I'm suspicious of lesbian dating sites owned by men - and many of them are.

Check for hugely discounted promotions - they run them often!

You can only look around and not contact people without upgrading.

The cost of upgrading is FAR higher than on sites I use like GayDarGirls and GayGirlNet.

Most of the members appear to be located in Australia and in their 60s.

I have been a full member of Pink Sofa for three months. First: most of the women live in Australia or New Zealand. Second: most of the women are in their 40s and 50s. But these are not my main complains.
The site has many technical problems: the notification for received messages has never worked; the instant messaging feature is deeply flawed; there is no way to know if a message sent to another member has been received; the navigation is awkward to say the least. The 'forums' that are supposed to create a sense of community have not been updated for ages. The site works as a meeting point for a small group of older members, nothing more. The management does not care about it, only about the money that can grab from new members.

In summary, I would not recommend The Pink Sofa to a friend.

The Forum Admin targets members for apparent 'offensive' behaviours but leave out the hundreds of other members that do exactly the same thing. Being targeted and bullied on an online community that should embrace all of it's members with open arms is nothing short of a disappointment.

Thank you Pink Sofa for bullying one of your long standing members. It's show that, for the queer community, bullying is everywhere.

Not worth the money they charge because is it not user friendly for iPhone users.
No refund given for remaining days when requested.

SAY NO TO BULLYING!!!

Very controlling admin staff with double standards and a lack of professionalism on occasion. Be very wary of having an opinion other than that of these staff.
